Frequently asked questions

Why don't you publish prices?

Because the price depends on the document, the language, the destination country, the type of certification and the urgency. We prefer to give you an exact, fixed quote after seeing your document rather than an indicative rate that later changes.

Do you serve all of Venezuela?

Yes. We work with clients in all 23 states and the Capital District. Most of the process is done online and physical deliveries are made by courier.

Can I complete the whole process from abroad?

In most cases, yes. We handle documents for Venezuelans living in Spain, the United States, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and many other countries.

How do you protect my data and documents?

Your documents are only seen by the people working on your case, are transmitted over encrypted channels and are not shared with any third party outside the process.

How much does a certified translation cost in Venezuela?

It depends on the language pair, the number of pages or words, the type of certification required by the destination country and the turnaround time. Send us a scan of the document and we reply with a fixed quote, with no obligation.

Can I send a scanned document?

Yes. A legible scan or sharp photo is enough to quote and translate. We only ask for the original when the receiving authority requires the translation to be physically attached to it.

How long does it take?

A standard one- or two-page document is usually ready in 24 to 72 business hours. Larger files are scheduled in batches and you get a firm delivery date before we start.

Which countries accept a Venezuelan apostille?

All countries that are party to the Hague Convention, including Spain, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Italy, Portugal, Germany, France, Brazil and Canada. Countries outside the convention require consular legalisation instead.

Can I get an apostille while living outside Venezuela?

Yes. Many of our clients live abroad. We explain what authorisation or power of attorney we need, handle the procedure in Venezuela and send you the result digitally or by international courier.

Should the translation be done before or after the apostille?

Usually the original document is apostilled first and then the document and its apostille are translated together. Some countries also require the translation itself to be apostilled. We confirm this for your specific case.

What is the difference between an apostille and consular legalisation?

The apostille is a single certificate valid in every Hague Convention country. Consular legalisation is a chain of several stamps, ending at the destination country's consulate, and is used for countries outside the convention.

How long does consular legalisation take?

It depends mostly on the consulate's appointment availability. We give you a realistic estimate before starting and keep you informed at every stage.

Can a certified true copy be apostilled?

In many cases yes, because the notary's certification is a public act. We confirm whether the destination country and institution accept an apostilled certified copy instead of the original.

I live outside Venezuela. How do I grant a power of attorney?

It is usually signed before a notary in your country of residence and then apostilled or legalised so it is valid in Venezuela; if it is in another language, it is translated. We draft the text and guide you through each step.

What do you need to request a document on my behalf?

Depending on the authority, a copy of your ID, the details of the document and, in some cases, an authorisation or power of attorney. We send you the exact list for your case.

How far in advance should I book an interpreter?

Ideally a week ahead, especially for less common languages or simultaneous interpreting. For urgent requests, ask us: we can often find availability within 24 to 48 hours.
